Fourth Online Working Meeting

On Friday 2021/03/05, the Fourth Online Working Meeting of the partners of the University-industry educational Centre in advanced Biomedical and Medical Informatics (CeBMI) project No. 612462-EPP-1-2019-1-SK-EPPKA2-KA was organized. In the project proposal, this meeting was planned as the Second Working Meeting that would be organized by Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid, Spain. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the meeting could not be organized in the originally planned manner and was replaced by the Fourth Online Working Meeting.

During the meeting:

  • discussion about the preparation of the progress report for EACEA started (WP 2);
  • requirements on financial documents were discussed in detail (WP 2);
  • the changes and improvements in the CeBMI portal that resulted from its continuous testing were explained (WP 3);
  • the current state of the development of teaching materials for the CeBMI portal was discussed and a schedule of their further development was presented (WP 3);
  • a plan of online guest lectures for the first half of year 2021 was specified (WP 4);
  • results from a meeting of quality assurance team on 2021/02/25 was presented (WP 6);
  • information about the organization of an online International Workshop on Biomedical Technologies in June 2021 was presented (WP 7).

At the end of year 2020, the following online guest lectures were delivered with support of the CeBMI project:

  • 2020/11/23 – Nikola Cichovska (Siemens Healthineers, Slovakia): What is MRI and how does it work? for students of Faculty of Management Science and Informatics of University of Zilina (Slovakia);
  • 2020/11/23 – Leonie Heisig (Peter L. Reichertz Institute of Medical Informatics, Germany): Introduction to Health Enabling Technology Systems for students of Faculty of Management Science and Informatics of University of Zilina (Slovakia);
  • 2020/11/25 – Tomaz Amon (Bioanim, Slovenia): Image Processing for Medical MRI and CT Purposes with Image for students of Faculty of Management Science and Informatics of University of Zilina (Slovakia);
  • 2020/12/02 – Nika Klimova (Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, Slovakia): How Information Technologies Can Help in a Coronavirus Pandemic? for students of Faculty of Management Science and Informatics of University of Zilina (Slovakia).

  • 2021 May – Ah-Lian Kor (Leeds Beckett University, UK): Deep Learning for students of Faculty of Management Science and Informatics of University of Zilina (Slovakia);
  • 2021 May – Olga Thanou (TELESIG, Bulgaria): Behavioral Biometrics for students of Faculty of Management Science and Informatics of University of Zilina (Slovakia);
  • 2021 June – Cristina Soguero (Rey Juan Carlos University, Spain): Data-driven models to extract knowledge from electronic health records for students of University Campus Bio-Medico di Roma (Italy).
